Blocked Boarding
Black CEO Denied Boarding Her Own Jet — 14 Minutes Later, She Fires the Entire Crew · Capítulo 1
“You’re not getting on this jet.”
The words came flat, like the woman had been saying them all morning. Rebecca Collins stood at the bottom of the mobile stairs with her arms folded tight across her blazer, blocking the way with her body. Behind her, the Gulfstream’s door stood open. Cool air rolled out into the Texas heat.
Monica Hayes stopped two steps away and looked at the name badge clipped to the woman’s jacket. Then at the clipboard in her hand.
“I’m Monica Hayes,” she said.
Rebecca’s mouth tightened. “Ma’am, I’m sure you are. You’re not on my passenger list.”
Monica glanced at the stairs, then at the plane. Her linen jacket was plain, the kind with no shine to it, and her slacks matched. No big logo. No jewelry beyond her watch. She had a leather tote in one hand and a phone in the other.
“That’s a serious statement,” Monica said. “Did you check the confirmation number?”
Rebecca lifted the clipboard a little. “I checked the manifest.”
“Did you check the confirmation number?”
Rebecca held her gaze for a beat too long. “You’re not listed as cleared for boarding.”
